1. Sterling silver, gold and platinum tarnishes from chemicals in the air.
Jewelry is so delicate, you need to carefully appreciate it and care for it.
Store your jewelry in our individual EBD velvet bags. You can also use individual ziploc bags.
2. Keep your jewelry away from sunlight to prevent tarnishing.
3. To clean and polish tarnished sterling silver and gold we recommend using a cloth treated with anti-oxidants and micro abrasives.
Call us for information on purchasing a special polishing cloth.
4. All precious metals develop a film of oils from soaps, cosmetics and your skin.
Liquid jewelry cleaners, steam and ultrasonic cleaners clean the metal but may damage delicate stones.
To be safe, clean the metal portions only, with a cloth.
5. In general, avoid contact with cosmetics, perfume, hairspray and household chemicals which can damage both metals and stones.
6. Always put your jewelry on after spraying perfume.
7. To clean stones and our exotic seeds wipe them with a soft, moist cloth. Store them, in individual ziploc bags or a soft pouch to prevent scratching. |
